What to see

San Vito Lo Capo is located in a privileged position on the western coast of Sicily, in the province of Trapani, halfway between the airports of Trapani and Palermo, and is a fishing village with a long history behind it.

In our eco hotel, we have devised various services for those who wish to spend an active holiday, discovering the area, on board an e-bike, with professional guides and dedicated transfers, enjoying immersive experiences between sport and nature.

It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, with a crystal-clear sea and a beautiful beach of fine pink sand, protected by the imposing Monte Monaco.
Any traveller will be able to enjoy an unforgettable experience in this magical area, whether it is related to culture, food and wine, sport or nature.

Our hotel amplifies the concept of a holiday in a corner full of greenery and with a panoramic view. It is the perfect place for those who want to move around on foot or by bicycle, for those who want to walk along the paths, climb the cliffs or dive to discover the seabed.

San Vito Lo Capo boasts a beautiful, world-famous beach of fine sand, perfect for relaxing at any time of year, even in the months when it is most popular. Here you will want to spend time relaxing and taking long baths in the clear blue waters.

But there are nooks and crannies around here with beautiful, almost untouched coves where you can unplug and experience the sea in total tranquillity.

The bays in San Vito Lo Capo, as far as the Zingaro Nature Reserve or on the slopes of Macari and Castelluzzo, enjoy unforgettable panoramic views, clear waters and shallow waters.

Some allow you to relax and sunbathe, others are worth a visit just for a dip in the azure waters!

A visit to the Reserve is an experience suitable for sportsmen and sportswomen. You can immerse yourself in nature, among the Mediterranean maquis plants, and walk along the path that leads from San Vito Lo Capo to Scopello (in the territory of Castellammare del Golfo).
There are so many views from which you will want to take a photo or take a diveā€¦ and you can do so by choosing one of the many coves along the way!

And you will also encounter small museums dedicated to the history of the place, to farming and pastoral traditions, with a story that seems far away, but is not.

During your visit to the Zingaro Nature Reserve you can stop for a picnic, but be careful, you will have to bring water and food from outside.

If you love walking in unspoilt places, all you have to do is try to reach the summit of Monte Monaco from which you can admire San Vito Lo Capo from above, or the Riserva di Monte Cofano (Mount Cofano Reserve), which will offer you unforgettable scenery in a barren area, lapped by coves and small beaches.

The Reserve can take you as far as the municipality of Custonaci, in the seaside village of Cornino, where you can appreciate the history and beauty of the Mangiapane Cave, a geological site inhabited until the 1950s.

The Zingaro Reserve was the first to be established in Sicily and is open all year round.

Experience San Vito Lo Capo and its beautiful surroundings like a local, enjoy the beauty of the place and be guided by those who, like us, love this area all year round.

In the province of Trapani, there is no shortage of places to discover and, based in San Vito Lo Capo, you will be able to reach places rich in history and culture, including gastronomy.

At our eco hotel we are passionate about food and wine, the taste experience starts at breakfast and ends with aperitifs on the terrace where you can enjoy local labels and tasty chopping boards of tuna or land.

The experiences and places that you will experience are a mix of history, archaeology and nature, such as Erice, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy from which you can enjoy breathtaking views, where you can stroll among cobbled streets, dozens of churches, courtyards as well-kept as wedding favours.

In Erice you will certainly taste (and the scent you will smell throughout the village will not give you a chance!) the Erice convent confectionery that offers all kinds of almond sweets, jams and the very famous genovesi: very tender shortbread biscuits filled with delicate custard.

From Erice to Trapani is a short walk by car or cable car, and the panorama is unparalleled: you will admire the Egadi Islands, Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, the colombia, the former prison on an islet, Torre Ligny, the westernmost tip of Sicily, the meeting of the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian Seas.

A walk in Trapani is a must, amidst noble palaces, enchanting city seascapes and panoramic walks along the ancient walls.
Trapani is also worth a tasteful stop: there are excellent places to taste cous cous or enjoy the delicious busiate al pesto from Trapani.

From Trapani, you can easily travel as far as Marsala, crossing the salt road with its

colourful and evocative salt pans that, at sunset, reveal brushstrokes of colours that mix pink, red and blue.

Marsala has a delightful historic centre full of squares, piazzas, churches and noble palaces and is also the city of wine, and there is an embarrassment of riches to choose from among historic wine cellars and interesting wineries.

Moving eastwards, starting from San Vito Lo Capo, the unmissable stops we suggest are.

Scopello, with its ancient baglio and evocative views of the ancient tonnara and the Faraglioni, Castellammare del Golfo, with its castle on the sea and cobbled streets winding from the port to the historic centre, but also Alcamo, a wine-producing town with many architectural treasures to discover.

Not far from Alcamo (and not far from Trapani) is the Segesta Archaeological Park where, on a gentle hill, the ancient temple stands out in all its imposing beauty.
Inside the park you will also admire the ancient theatre where, in the summer season, you can watch beautiful theatrical and musical performances at sunrise or sunset.

But the journey does not end here!

We look forward to suggesting exciting itineraries among art, history and culture to make your holiday in San Vito Lo Capo unforgettable.
